I saw this video of Akon. Talk about being a celebrity and getting mobbed. Watch closely as he accidentally smacks the girl while pushing the other one off. Hilarious! Akon is the one trying to get up on the platform amidst the huge crowd.
By now, I’m sure everyone saw the MTV Video Music Award 08 held at Paramount Pictures Studio. Not sure how you all feel but the show was disappointing to me. It seemed like this year they tried to scale down the event given how last year seemed too convoluted. There also wasn’t any originality or creativity with the performances with the exception of Kanye West. However, one thing was noticeable was how many times Britney Spears won with an album that was half-heartily promoted and marketed by her and her marketing entourage. I don’t think she even toured at all in support of that album. Anyhow, she looked better than she did the previous award show when she resembled somewhat of “Miss Piggy-I-barely-rehearsed-look.” However, sadly to say she won’t be looking like what she did in the past MTV Award show when she performed “I’m a Slave for You.” Yeah, she’s looked damn hot enough in that performance for me to even remember the freaking song! I think her recent award show wins is probably courtesy of the record company prepping for a major push for her this coming year. I am sure its in MTV’s best interest to have her come back so they can have better content since how many REAL WORLD CHALLENGES can you do or DATE MY MOM crap can you air. It’s too bad MTV ain’t what it use to be…as oppose to being an uninventive corporarte product pushing platform…trying to sell you Pepsi, GM or Verizonwireless.
