Stand Up To Cancer Telethon In Hollywood Tonight!

Friday, September 5th, 2008

Hollywood will be hosting the Stand Up To Cancer Telethon tonight which will be broadcast on ABC, NBC, and CBS. Taking place at the Kodak Theater in the Hollywood and Highlands complex, celebrities scheduled to apprear include: Jennifer Aniston (Friends), James Taylor, Scarlett Johansson (Yummy), Meryl Streep, David Cook, Christina Applegate (Married With Children), Lance Armstrong, Jack Black (Shallow Hal), Kirsten Dunst (Spiderman), Charles Barkley (Round Mound of Rebound), America Ferrera (Ugly Betty), Halle Berry (Oh yahhh), Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby), Forrest Whitaker, Jimmy Fallon (Saturday Night Live), and Keanu Reeves (Matrix). John McCain and Barack Obama are also scheduled to appear. Early debate anyone? haha.

Wouldn’t it be cool if the celebrities actually answered the phone? Like if I called Keanu Reeves to make a donation:

Me: “Hello Neo…I’ve been waiting to talk to you….”
Keanu (looking dumbfounded): “…….Morpheus??”
Me: “Hahaha…nah it’s me J-Train…wanting to make a donation dum dum..but i GOTCHA!”

Ok yah anyway it’s for a good cause. Cancer kills 550,000 Americans and six million people worldwide each year. That’s a whole lot of people.

Stand Up To Cancer

Network news anchors Katie Couric (CBS), Charles Gibson (ABC) and Brian Williams (NBC) will MC the program. Another star studded night in Hollywood!
