A Go Go Dancer You Do NOT Want to Miss – Misa Campo

Misa Campo Misa Campo Misa Campo

Having graced the pages of many import magazines such as Maxim Magazine and the cover of DSport Magazine, Misa Campo is one certified hottie.

Misa has accomplished an incredible amount in the few years she’s been working. She’s become a sex symbol the world over thanks to the proliferation of her pictures across the internet, and her image has appeared in countless magazines and fashion publications.

Though she’ll never quite be referred to as statuesque, Misa is 5’6”, quite tall for her field, and there’s little doubt that she’s got the body of a centerfold. Her drool-worthy measurements — 34C-24-34 — only add to her overall package, and it’s certainly worth noting that she’s hardly the sort of gal to spend all of her free time in the gym.

The Alliance: Hollywood’s Exclusive A-List Promoters

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

As Hollywood party pros, Joshua Richman, Shane Powers and Hartwell (just Hartwell), founders of the Alliance, have picked up a few insights into poseur behavior. They know, for example, that crashers talk too much. “They start dropping names, which is a surefire way to get us to stop listening,” says Richman, the eccentric of the group who never leaves home without his black fedora and 8-ball-capped cane. “Herbs” he calls them. As in, ” ‘Are you really going to let that ‘Herb’ in?’ ”

But running some of the most ironclad events and parties in town isn’t just about knowing whom to let in and whom to keep out. It’s about getting the right people there in the first place. The self-described trio of “event strategists” are the type who have the pull to BlackBerry Keanu – and get a rapid-fire response. In Hollywood’s oversaturated social scene, where the competition for best bash, awards or charity event is fierce, they’re in high demand.

Longtime club promoters, Richman, Powers and Hartwell formed the Alliance eight years ago. Though they don’t have an office and they keep the numbers unlisted, the Alliance is part of a growing niche industry in Hollywood: event coordinators who guarantee clients a cool affair for upward of $10,000 per event. This new breed of soiree specialist exists in a gray area somewhere between entertainment marketing executive and hands-on event planner.

LA Super Promoter Brent Bolthouse

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

In 1987, a 17-year-old Brent Bolthouse left home, moving to North Hollywood, where he lived in a sober house and took a job pumping gas. As a working stiff, a high school dropout, and an ex-drug addict from a small town, Bolthouse was about as far out of the loop as one can get in L.A. He began showing up at downtown’s warehouse clubs, making friends, and at the age of i8 managed to throw his own one-off at the Stock Exchange club. By the spring of i989, Bolthouse was co-running a weekly club called Papa Willy in the Hollywood Athletic Club. “Our entire marketing plan,” he says, “was that we’d charge just a dollar to get in. All the other clubs were charging $10.”

Since then he has come to rule the Hollywood after-dark scene as the host of four exclusive evening parties that usually attract enough stars to cast a few Woody Allen films. The founder of Bolthouse Productions and SBE partner, Bolthouse has amassed quite a collection of clients and properties such as Area, Hyde, LAX, Katsuya and S Bar.

Benny Benassi Benny Benassi

Benny Benassi was born in Milan in 1967 and then grew up in the provincial town of Reggio Emilia, Italy. He started dj-ing when he ws still at school and has been producing with his cousin Alle Benassi for about ten years at Off Limits studios. His first as a producer was with the track “I feel so fine” by KMC feat. Dhany which went to number 1 in the UK club charts in 2001. The following year, working under the BENNY BENASSI presents THE BIZ trademark, Benny and Alle came up with “Satisfaction” and in one fell swoop ravaged the dancefloors and dominated sales charts round the world. The album “Hypnotica” followed. In the meantime Benny and Alle produced more melodic dance music under the Benassi Bros. banner. The charts of half the planet gave them thumbs up.

Benny has won tons of prizes and awards around the world and continues to tour the five continents with his unique style, once described as “electro, sort of house-tec, dirty and cool, sweaty and smooth”.

In 2008 Benny and Alle won a Grammy Award for his remix of Public Enemy’s “Bring the noise”. The new album “Rock n Rave” contains tracks featuring Black Box, Farenheit, Dino Lenny, Mia J, Public Enemy, Channing and Iggy Pop.

His own productions are released through Energy Productions in Italy and Ultra in U.S.A. At the same time, Benny talent scouts for his own brand new label, Pump-kin, designed to create space for young djs and producers of electronic club music.
