You just got out of another Hollywood club on a typical Saturday night…you’re tired of hot dogs and pizzas. You’re looking for a more legitimate meal…something like Norm’s or Denny’s, however, you still want to keep that red bull-buzzing body of yours going and the partying continuing (not to mention you haven’t sealed the deal with your new found friend). I have the perfect suggestion for you! Kitchen 24! The name says it all. Imagine Norm’s but transformed with a more fashionable looking menu, DJ spinning music, and drunk people sitting next to you expecting you to flirt with them (if you haven’t brought your own victim to sleaze on). The best part is the space is located conveniently right in the middle of the Cahuenga Corridor so you can get more mileage out of your $20 parking. This place is ideally if you’re partying at Ritual, Sugar, the Room, Beauty Bar, Citizen Smith, Opera and Crimson. They serve breakfast and lunch 24 hours while dinner is only up to 2 am. The dishes are your standard variety burgers, sandwiches, and salads with an American Hollywood flair. Other items on the menu consists of individually baked meatloaf, country friend pork chops, spaghetti and meatballs and turkey potpie, all of which are made with the freshest organic ingredients available. They also have installed a Reverse Osmosis Filtration system, which translates into the best tasting water, cocktails and food this side of the Hollywood sign.
The good thing is its priced decently ranging from $10 to $15 max so you won’t kill your wallet anymore than you already have at the club. I recommend sticking with the burgers and fries…for some reason they always serve that first amongst all the dishes in your party. It even beats the salad in coming before others. Go figure????
Kitchen 24 is open 24 hours (which is unusual for a city that is known to sleep around the clock) and is located at 1608 N. Cahuenga Blvd Hollywood, CA 90028. 323-465-2424.
Now for all those a little more refiner or want to continue impressing their date after popping those bubblies…there is Citizen Smith located on the Cahuenga corridor. Most people don’t realize but they do serve food pretty late and open til 2 am (more like 1:15ish). Food is actually pretty decent, however, restaurant atmosphere is little dark so you can’t really see what you’re eating but the good thing is it continues setting the mood for you especially if your play date is just as intoxicated as you are. The menu is American Bistro with your standard selection of New York Strip, Flame Broiled Salmon, Southern Fried Chicken, Fish, Pasta, and etc. DISCLAIMER: The place isn’t terrible cheap so be careful especially when you’re inebriated when ordering. Shit can add up! I recommend going with the rib-eye since you can’t really mess that up…besides there’s something gratifying about eating a nice grilled fatty steak with a side of fries. Citizen Smith also offer Jazz nights on certain nights as well. I believe the venue might have just recently changed hands in regards to management so hopefully the quality of the food doesn’t suffer since the new management team at the helm come from club background. The decor is classic and rich with a neat outside patio but it closes early. Chandliers, mahagony wood, and high ceilings surrounds you as you venturing in. Antique and stylish distressed furniture give one a comfortable and cozy feeling once they sit down.
What’s great about the place is its in walking distance from all the major clubs such as Ritual, Sugar, the Room, Beauty Bar, IVAR, Forbbiden City, Avalon, and etc.

So its 2 am the club lights are on, you’re completely inebriated, busy drunk-booty texting, your friends just finished closing their game, and security is shinig that light to encourage you to leave…what do you do next…YOU GRUB! So where can you go for some nice Hollywood late night eats that won’t break the bank especially since you already did at the club. A popular hang out spot is Greco’s New York Pizzeria (funny its named Greco since everytime I’ve been there no one looks “Greco-ish.”) located on the corner of the famous Cahuenga Corridor and Hollywood Blvd. The pizza is New York style, hence the name, nice big slices but paper thin yet crisp. The slices are on average about $3 to $4 not too bad considering everything else is going up! The place is perfect if you plan on partying in the neighboring areas such as Ritual, Vice, Tiny’s KO, Sugar, the Room, Beauty Bar, and the former Goa that recently closed. Next time you’re there ask who is Greco? BTW, don’t get the soda is a rip…that’s how they get you back!
